Program and Information.

There will be  series of lectures and demonstrations throughout the day whose purpose is to be educational and to assist those in having livestock and small acerage. For the kids there will be pony rides and a miniature animal farm. In addittion there will be a range of refreshments available including freshly ground coffee, and beautiful Ausline burgers and sausages for sale. Most exhibitors will also have stock for sale.

10.30: Backyard Poultry: Learn all about keeping chooks including what breeds are best, what to feed your chickens and how to care for them.

11.00am: Farm Biosecurity and what the new JBAS and LPA changes mean for Small Acerage producers  presented by Rachael O’Brien – Queensland Biosecurity Extension Manager, Livestock Biosecurity Network

12.00noon: How to clip a Cow and present for the Showring  Learn all the tricks of the trade from someone who knows!

1.00pm: Animal Nutrition: Learn all about how to supplement your animals nutritional needs.

1.30pm: Sheep Shearing Demonstration 

2.00pm: ‘All Stars Mini Horsemanship’ show presented by Kath Evans featuring mini horses and their tricks

2.30pm: Sheep Dog Demonstration
